George W Connelly is Dead in Atlantic City - Fell From Window and Broke His Neck - Former Pleasantville Man - Friends here were notified yesterday of the accidental death of George W Connelly, which occurred in Atlantic City, Wednesday morning (Aug 16). He was leaning from a second story window of his house, closing the shutters, when he fell to the ground. His neck was broken. The deceased was 48 years of age. He was born and lived to manhood in Pleasantville. His father was James Connelly, formerly an associate judge of Venango county, and a gentleman well known throughout the oil country. For three years George Connelly was cashier of the Citizens' bank at Pleasantville. Later he removed to Edenburg, Clarion county, where he was connected with the village bank. Upon the failure of that institution, he went to Atlantic City and was head bookkeeper in the National bank of that city. The deceased was a genial, whole-soulded gentleman. He was a prominent Mason and was held in high esteem among his business acquaintances and friends. The family left Pleasantville fifteen years ago and the father died in Philadelphia a few years since. Besides his mother, deceased is survived by his widow and three children."
