"Mrs. Anna Willard Connely died at her home on Genesee Street, Tuesday evening. She had been in failing health for the past year.
Mrs. Connely was a daughter of the late Augustus and Laura Willard of this village where she was born and spent her early life. Her married life was spent in Atlantic City, N. J. and soon after the death of her husband she returned to her former home in Greene where she had since resided. Mrs. Connely's ability was well known and appreciated among her friends who recognize that she possessed all the qualities essential to leadership. She was President of the Current Topics Club and the first President of the Equal Suffrage Club. She had traveled extensively, being in Europe when the war began.
The survivors are two daughters, Mrs. John Oenslager of Harrisburg, PA, Mrs. Howard Rathbone of NY, and one son, James Connely of NY.
The funeral will be held at the house Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. A. A. Bresee, Rector of the Zion Church, reading the Office For The Dead. Interment in Sylvan Lawn."
