Ruth Ellen Campbell, age 84 of Perry, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at the Perry United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Nancy Powers will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Perry on Friday evening 6-8 pm and 1 hour before the service at the church.
Ruth was born in Roscommon, MI on April 6, 1929, the daughter of Robert & Lula (Winnie) Bowman. She graduated from Houghton Lake High School and on February 24, 1949 she married Leonard W. Campbell at Houghton Lake. She was a Red Cross Volunteer, member of the Eastern Stars, liked to sew, read, do needlework and embroidery and was a member of the Perry United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children; Bob Campbell of Perry, Bill Campbell and Chris of Leslie, MI, Thomas (Betty) Campbell of Alanson, MI, Linda (Steven) Lamb of Perry, foster child, Scott, grandchildren; Candee, Melisa, Erin, Kerri, Christopher, Stephanie, step grandson Christian, many great and great great grandchildren, sister Donna (Jack) Metzler of Houghton Lake.
