Swiss Native Dies in S. L.
Magdalina Buehler, 81, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emma B. Hughes, 164 E. South
Temple, Saturday morning, of natural causes.
Mrs. Buehler was born In Sherlle Switzerland, May 6. 1864, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Haueter. She came to Utah In 1882 with her parents as an L DS church convert. She was
married in 1885 to John U. Buehler in the Salt Lake Endowment house. .Soon after her marriage
she was called with her husband on a colonization mission to St. Johns Ariz., She later returned to
Midway. Wasatch county, where she made her home until 1921 when she moved to Logan, where
her husband died in 1936. Since that time she had lived with her three daughters, two of whom
preceded her in death.
Mrs. Buehler was an active L DS church worker during her early life and she had devoted the
Last 20 years entirely to temple work.
Survivors include four sons, J. H. Buehler, Bristal Silver, Nev.; Charles E. Buehler, Midway; Lloyd F. Buehler, Salt Lake City, and Dr. E. G. Buehler, Honolulu, T H; a daughter, Mrs. Emma E.
Hughes, Salt Lake City; 25 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
