Lionel J. Blecha , son of Joseph and Rose (Sibl) Blecha, was born October 10, 1899 at Pawnee City, Nebr., and passed away at the Republic County hospital, October 5, 1966 at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 25 days.

He moved to Kansas at an early age where he received his education at the Haddam and Munden school.

He was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Saip at Belleville on November 26, 1924. During the early years of their marriage he farmed near Munden. He later worked on construction for Republic County for 20 years and for a construction company for six years. He retired in 1942.

Preceding him in death were his parents, infant brother and one grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home, five children, Mrs. Charles Williams, Hutchinson, Mrs. Leon Lahodny, Lincoln, Neb., Mrs Ronald Prymek, Avino, Italy, S-S gt. Kenneth Blecha, US Air Force and Mrs. Richard Andrews, Belle Gardens, Cal.; one brother, Rudolph and one sister, Mrs. Milek Fisher, Narka, 16 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held October 8, at the Cuba Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Fredrick Mansfield. Interment was in the Tabor cemetery.
