He applied for a pension (#38498224) in June 1880. His widow, Sarah E. Albaugh, applied for a pension (#108168224) in October 1916.

In the 1900 census Mark was living in Salem Township, Jefferson County, Ohio. He was listed as age 63 born June 1836 in Ohio, his wife Sarah E. age 57 born December 1842 in Ohio, and their daughter Mattie I. age 20 born January 1880 in Ohio.

Mark Albaugh, 80, died late Sunday evening of paralysis in his home on 1407 Woodland Ave. NW, Canton. Death due to stroke which he suffered several days ago and general disability. He was a resident of Canton for many years. He was born in Amsterdam 1836 and was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.
Survived by his wife, 2 sisters, a brother and grandchildren. Funeral at the home on Wednesday morning at 10:00 o'clock. Burial was Westlawn Cemetery, in Canton.
