GREENWOOD, MS—Jeffy Rivers Alford, 83, died Friday April 22, 2011 at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Funeral services are 11 A.M. Monday at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. Duane Jenson will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 9-11 A. M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Alford served in the US Army during World War II and Korean Wars. Mr. Alford worked for the US Corps of Engineers in the Greenwood office for 27 years and he was a member of the American Legion Post #36.

He is survived by three daughters Jo Lynn Alford Nicholas (David) of Jackson, MS, Randee Alford Acey of Carrollton, MS, Christi Alford Carroll (Scott) of Greenwood, MS, two brothers, Mack Alford of Carrollton, MS, Bobby Alford of Petal, MS, and seven grandchildren, Matthew Nicholas and Betsy Kate Nicholas of Jackson, MS, Andrew Wright , Meg Wright and Sally Acey of Carrollton, MS, Ann Rivers Carroll and Madeline Carroll of Greenwood, MS....
