HOLLIS NEWMAN
VERNON - Hollis E. Newman, 62, of Route 5, a machinist at Oneida Ltd., died Saturday in Oneida City Hospital.
He was born in Oneida and attended Oneida schools. He married Rosetta Smith in Oneida in 1934. The couple lived in Oneida for 17 years.
He was a member of the Yorkville Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Syracuse Metallurgical Society.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, James, Yorkville, and Edward, Santa Rosa, Calif., three brothers, Donald, Rome; Gordon, Oneida Valley, and Robert, Syracuse, and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Finocchiaro,. Canastota, and Miss Madelyn Newman, Utica.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Malecki Funeral Home, Burial will be in Vernon Village Cemetery.
