"Sherrill, April 25---John P. Jones 66, died suddenly yesterday at his home, 437 Kinsley St. He was born at Baldwinsville, Dec. 8, 1878, and had resided in the city 33 years. He was employed as a machinist by Oneida Ltd. He was a member of the Park Methodist Church, Sherrill Lodge of Masons and the C. A. C. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. May Chesebro Jones; two sons, Lt. George Jones serving in Europe, and Elliott Jones, M. O., MM.1/c., in the Pacific theater; a granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Shafer, Sherrill, and Miss Ruth Jones, Baldwinsville; a brother, Allan Jones, this city, and several nieces and nephews."
