Selvis J. Evans Jr.

Died: April 6, 2013

Selvis J. Evans Jr., age 75, of Morristown died Saturday morning at Lakeway Regional Hospital in Morristown.

Mr. Evans was a longtime business man in the Morristown area.

He is survived by two sons: Robert and Deana Evans of Newport and Michael and Crystal Evans of Jefferson City; one grandson: Charles Evans of Newport; two sisters: Myrtle Parrott of Sevierville and Sarah Evans Carpenter of Bulls Gap; one brother: Hobert Evans of Bulls Gap; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many special friends.

Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents: S.J. and Alice Evans; four sisters: Ruth Moore, Cleo Collins, Effie Ridley and Gladys Sorenson; and five brothers: Clarence, Lawrence, Elmer, A.J. and Albert Evans.

At Mr. Evans request, there will be no formal visitation.

Family and friends are asked to meet at noon Tuesday in Philippi Cemetery for a graveside service. The Rev. Duane Evans will officiate.
