Funeral Services for Mr. Claude Estil Shelley will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2005 in the Rush Funeral Home Chapel, Downtown with Reverend Kenneth Crumbley officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery, Oakdale under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mr. Shelley, 75, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 1, 2005 in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Pineville. He was a member of the St. Matthew Baptist Church, and a Medic in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cho Yee Shelley, one brother, William Doyle Shelley, and one sister, Nellie Huddleston.

He is survived by two sons, William "Bill" Shelley of Sarasota, FL, and Joseph "J.D." Shelley of Cisco, TX, two daughters Claudia Shaver of Venice, FL, and Jean Kaufman of Sarasota, FL, two sisters, Charity Shelley of Clauson, MI, and Mary Rains of Corbin, KY. He is also survived by two half brothers, two half sisters, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
