Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Dettmering, 64, Medford, were held Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 8th, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church there. The Rev. Marvin Zank officiated and burial was made in Evergreen Cemetery. The former Truvia Blank was born at Thorp on March 16, 1900 and attended school there. She was married to Fred Dettmerring at Mattoon on Nov. 6, 1926. The couple lived in Thorp for three years after their marriage and then for the next several years lived in Kansas and Texas. In 1933, they moved to the Antigo area until 1942, when they moved to Medford. She was a charter member and leader of the Jolly Circle 4-H Club and was a member of Immanuel Church and the Dorcas Society of the church. Surviving her are her husband; five sons: Robert, Medford; John, Bettendorf, Iowa; Karl, Pewaukee; Roger, Mayville; Wesley, Seattle; and one daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Esther) Heier, Menomonee Falls. There are also 15 grandchildren surviving, a brother, Ashley Blank of Carrington, N.D., and a sister, Mrs. Edgar (Ameda) Hanson, Silverdale, Wash.
