Eugene D. Brandenburg, age 72, of Merrill, died Thursday, November 5, 2015. Eugene was born October 6, 1943, in Merrill, son of the late Franklin and Milda Brandenburg. He married Peggy Ament on August 15, 1964, and she preceded him in death in May of 2003. Eugene was retired from Wausau Papers - Brokaw Division. He was a 1962 graduate of Merrill Senior High School. Eugene was an avid New York Yankee fan. He enjoyed deer hunting with his son, shooting pool, playing slow pitch, and dart ball. Survivors include his daughter, Jessica (Craig) Neumann, Merrill; his son, Jeff (JoAnn) Brandenburg, Merrill; four grandchildren, Zachary, Jordan, and Cameron Neumann, and Jennifer (Jonathon) Lee; his great granddaughter, Jazalyn Lee; and his sister, Deanna (James) Koebe, Merrill. Besides his wife and parents, Eugene is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carmen.

A Memorial Service for Eugene will begin at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. The Rev. R. Brian Stolarczyk will officiate. Entombment will follow at Merrill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
