Mary Catherine Barron, age 18, of Russellville, Ala., died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident.Mary was a native of San Diego, Calif., but had lived in Franklin County for the past 10 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was active in the youth programs and attended a mission trip this summer in Virginia.She was a graduate of Russellville High School, Class of 2007. She was in the Miss RHS pageant, chorus jazz band, Christian Students United (secretary), drum major, 2006-7 show choir and was in National Honor Society. She had received numerous scholarships and was to start at Northwest Junior College later this month. She was employed by McDonald's, where she had worked several years.Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at Calvary Baptist Church in Russellville. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Officiating will be Wade Wallace, Joe Lenox, Neal Rogers and George Crummie. Music will be provided by the RHS band. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens.Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville.Survivors include father, Micheal Barron, San Diego, Calif.; grandparents, Albin and Judy Ory, Russellville, Ala., William Barron, San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Kayle Mundt, Russellville, Ala., Tiffany Ory, Russellville, Ala.; stepsister, Tanya Opichka, San Diego, Calif.; other survivors include Anna Langley, Chuck Langley, Matthew Langley, SFC, Anthony Langley and aunts, uncles and cousins.She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Ory, and grandmother, Mary Barron.
