Excerpt -- Funeral services for R. Clyde Vincent, 76, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Rivesville Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Mr. Vincent died in his home near Rivesville about 11 o'clock last night following a long illness. He was born Sept. 9, 1870, near Powell, son of the late Francis M. Vincent and Sarah Wolfe Vincent. On April 25, 1897, he married Icie Keener. They observed their golden wedding anniversary a few weeks ago. He was a member of Felicity lodge of Knights of Pythias for 47 years. He was a charter member of Elite Lodge No. 423, I. O. O. F., and served as treasurer of the organization. Surviving him are his widow, and the following children: Howard R. Vincent, of Fairmont; Mrs. Benny Hayes, of Rivesville; Lonnie W. Vincent, of Clarksburg; and Mrs. Frank Paull, of Uniontown, Pa. He is also survived by a brother, Lock D. Vincent, of Brown, and a sister, Mrs. C. F. Swisher, of Glenn Falls. Two brothers and one sister are deceased.
