Services for Jimmy Don Goldston, 65, Tyler, are scheduled for 2:30 p.m, Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at Stewart Family Funeral Chapel with Dr. David Dykes officiating. Burial will be in Whitehouse Cemetery under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy., south Tyler 75703.

Mr. Don Goldston passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006 at his home in Tyler. He was born to the late William and Ruth Baker Goldston on July 18, 1940 in Abernathy.

A graduate of Petersburg High School in Petersburg, Texas, he worked most of his life as a banker. He was a member of Lake Ridge Methodist Church in Lubbock and Masonic Lodge #709 in Plainview. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with his family and especially enjoyed traveling to Amish country in Pennsylvania.

Mr. Goldston was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lou Beard. He is survived by his loving family including his daughter, Tanya Goldston Bryans and husband William Perry Bryans Jr., also known as Bill Bryans, of Tyler; granddaughter, Allison Bryans of Tyler; sister, Trell Meadows of Petersburg; brother, Ted Goldston and wife Zelma of Petersburg; special niece, Cynthia Hanson of Tyler; two nieces; three nephews; and long-time friend, Doris Louise Patton Goldston Gunkey of Tyler. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 p.m. before the service.
