Hannah wed Samuel Butterfield (son of Ebenezer and Sarah Butterfield) 12 November 1761 in Dunstable, Massachusetts.
From the book "The Butterfields of Middlesex" by George A. Gordon:
"Samuel Butterfield m. 12 Nov. 1761, Hannah Chandler, dau. of Moses and Dorothy (Marble) Chandler of Westford, where she was born, 27 Aug. 1742. Seven children were born to them in Dunstable. In 1781, he removed his family to Farmington, Me., of which he was one of the proprietors. He continued a citizen of marked prominence till his death, 29 July, 1808. Five more children were born to them in Farmington."
Hannah Chandler was descended from two of the earliest settler families in New England, Chandler and Marble. On the Marble side, she has a connection to the Witch Trials, its later chapter in Andover, Massachusetts, through her ancestor, Hannah's great grandfather, Joseph Marble. Joseph petitioned to release the prisoners from jail.
Hannah died in Farmington, Franklin county, Maine, on 14 April 1814. From the early Farmington, Maine Butterfields, were many more descendants in the following decades.
