Albert F. Shepherd, 77 years old, of Huntsville, Arkansas, formerly of the Locke community in Crawford county, died Thursday, May 10, 1967 in a Huntsville hospital. He was born June 10, 1889 in Bidville, Arkansas and was the son of Preston and Susan Jane Shepherd. He had been a resident of Huntsville for the past eight years and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Bidville Assembly of God Church.

Survivors were his wife Bonnie; five sons, William, Otis, Otha Ray, Bobby Gean, and Sam H; four daughters Lillie, of Seminole, Oklahoma, Verna and Martha Ann both of Oklahoma City and Netta of Rudy; two brothers, Will of St. Paul, Arkansas and Pete of Oklahoma city; two half-brothers Dal, of Mulberry and Mark of springfield, Missouri; 35 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Bidville Assembly of God church with Steve Smith officiating. Burial was in Bidville cemetery and directed by Ocker Funeral Home.

Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Batchelor of Oklahoma City came for the funeral. She is the former Evelyn Shepherd and niece of the deceased. Mrs. H. E. Roberts of Van buren is also his niece.
