I was born in Atchison, Kansas, where Amelia Earhart was also born. I currently teach computer science courses at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, but worked 11 years as a professional programmer in Kansas City, Missouri, before that. My family and roots are all in the KCMO area, though, so I make it back there often.

I love to do a lot of things but genealogy and classical music are among my favorite pasttimes. I am currently researching all of my lines but am at a standstill with my Decker line.
