Bio

I was born in Atchison, Kansas, where Amelia Earhart was also born. I currently teach computer science courses at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, but worked 11 years as a professional programmer in Kansas City, Missouri, before that. My family and roots are all in the KCMO area, though, so I make it back there often.

I love to do a lot of things but genealogy and classical music are among my favorite pasttimes. I am currently researching all of my lines but am at a standstill with my Decker line. I am trying to find the parents of my second great grandfather Benjamin G. Decker, Sr. Other lines that I have are Allen, Lemley, Dege, Russell, Klopp, Katterman, Dundore, Walborn, and many others. Please feel free to message me if you have any suggestions or questions.

I enjoy the work of the conductors Herbert von Karajan, Carlos Kleiber, Karl Böhm, Eugen Jochum, and many others. I especially love Mozart, Brahms, Beethoven, Bruckner, Mahler, Wagner, and Richard Strauss, just to name a few.
