Native to Zanesville, OH, I am the son of the late Dale Denver Darst and Peggy Eileen Lewis and have resided at Dallas, TX since April of 1983. I graduated from The Ohio State University in March of 1982, with a B.S. in Education.

My passion for family history started the day I visited The Alamo at San Antonio back in early 1984; witness to a painted portrait of Jacob Calloway Darst, whom I later realized was a first cousin (5 generations removed).
