I am married and have 4 children. I live in Lone Oak, Texas, with an abundance of cemeteries close enough to visit often.

This has been an endeavor that my whole family has come to enjoy. My daughter loves to pick up stray flowers, and put them on graves with none. She picks up fallen decorations, and rights them on the headstones.

One of my sons enjoys cleaning off the headstones and calculating their ages. He gets truly saddened by the children's graves. Once, he was asking why children have to die ( and why people buy their graves sites and headstones before they die), and my mother and I tried to explain to him that everyone dies, at all different ages, and some people like to have all their burial details taken care of before hand. He thought on that for a while, and then said, "I guess Emma and I need to get one (a headstone)." (He was 7 and she was 4 at the time, and they don't always get along. It made me laugh to think he was thinking of them dying together, already).

I am excited to find an avenue to fulfill my passion and help others by taking photos of headstones. My husband and I have a photography business and this is a fabulous way to put that business experience to work for us. I was surprised at how my husband has taken to this as well. The photographer in him wants each shot to be perfect. One time, he took a ladder to the cemetery to make sure he got the right angle.

My family tree consists of Andrews', Garrett, Mendenhall, Fendlason, Christopher (which we have very little info on), Murry, Wallis, Boomer, Mingus,& Triplett, to name a few.
