Bio

I am an 8th generation Durr from South Carolina. My family roots grow very deep into the soil of Orangeburg, Dorchester, Colleton, Berkeley and Barnwell counties.

I've researched and traveled across the Lowcountry part of the state to where my ancestors settled, to dig into musty courthouse bins, rooted through libraries, and traipse cemeteries.

Even after many years of research, I am awed when I look at the old family tombstones, bible, land plats, Last Will and Testaments and keepsake pictures with so many lineages and thinking of the forklore of many generations past touches my heart.

Some of the families I research are; Durr, Ruple, Bell, Keitt,Salisbury, Murray, Weathers, Whetsell, Miller, Ayers, Way, Beach, Bozard, Strock, Dukes and Johnson.
