I became interested in family history as a result of a grade school project in 1973. I would catch a city bus and ride to the genealogy department of the State Library in Austin, Texas where I would scan microfilmed census records and flip through the indexes of various hardbound materials. Upon resuming my research efforts, I became aware of what wonderful resources are now available on the internet---one of the best of which being findagrave.com. Inspired by the work begun by Sheila Leamons Johnson, I'm working to identify the descendants of my Gr-Gr-Great Grandparents, two pioneers of the Missouri Territory as early as 1811: Abraham and Jemima Leamons; additionally, building upon the research of the late Judge Albert Tate, I am working to identify the descendants of my Gr-Gr-Gr-Gr-Great Grandfather, William Bundick of Louisiana, by both his first wife, Mary Hay, and his second wife, Hessina Barker.
