I have decided to transfer management of most of the memorials I managed to Find A Grave. I am not as active in genealogy as I once was.

CEMETERIES: As I walk cemeteries, I am taken by the serenity of the cemetery itself as well as the beauty of the tombstones and often the love, respect and honor shown to those who have passed on. It is truly inspiring.

CONTACT OR CORRESPOND WITH ME: Please do not leave public messages on my Profile page if you have personal information to share or wish to request updates. If you would like to correspond with me, utilize my e-mail address on my Profile page. Be sure to include information regarding the person about whom you wish to correspond, (Memorial Number, URL for the Memorial {preferred method}, etc.)

LATER MIGRATION: Many members of my family were part of the large migration of Germans from Russia (Odessa region on the Black Sea). Some of my family settled in WI, USA (many in Dane County, WI, USA) and then on to SD, USA, most of them settled in or near the Parkston, Hutchinson, SD, USA area.

PHOTOS: Please feel free to use the photos I have taken & uploaded! They are for the families of the departed. If you upload a photo to any of the Memorials I manage that contains any information missing from the Memorial, I would appreciate it if you let me know via the "Edit" button on that Memorial so that I may update the information.

OTHER WEB SITES: I have temporarily cancelled my subscription to Ancestry.com (User Name "mbiwdy") but, have occasionally uploaded my tree to RootsWeb. By the way, RootsWeb gives you the ability to see your family in Ahnentafel format which is visually much easier to read and see how your family is connected! I also use GeneaNet.org to help find clues to my German ancestry. It is a Web site which allows people to upload their family trees for others to see. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the information provided there so, only use it as a resource for "hints".

A BIG "Thank You!" to all those willing Find A Grave volunteer members for working with me to accomplish our goals, and happy hunting!
