Bio

I have been researching family history earnestly since 2010.

As my friend and mentor Marianne (#47147246) likes to say, "GENEALOGY WITHOUT DOCUMENTATION IS MYTHOLOGY." Therefore, I will only add documented information to my personal tree and family memorials. However, I do accept information from other contributors without demanding citations. I will make a notation on the memorial that such information was submitted by another contributor.

Like many family researchers, when I am wandering around cemeteries I am fascinated by the headstones and wonder about the person behind them. So, sometimes I will photograph stones in the interest of preserving history. If you are related, and I am not, I am happy to transfer your family to you. Please use the edit function on the memorial to request a transfer.

PHOTOS: I take the photos to share history of your family and mine. Please use my photos, for non-commercial purposes, but I DO REQUIRE that you please give me the credit as photographer (Find A Grave contributor dfb #47415030). If you have also spent hours driving, photographing, recording, editing, and uploading you will understand why the photos of people I never knew still feel like 'family.'

Please DO NOT post anything to my memorials that is not in the public domain or that contains any information about living persons. You can send an obit to me and I will put a synopsis on the memorial.

And PLEASE!!!! do not post a death certificate to any memorial that is not a direct close relative. It is unnecessary and intrusive to the deceased and their kin. If you would like to send a note that you have the dc available I am happy to add that to the memorial.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed in some way to my family quest journey.

Play nicely, treat each other gently, and when in doubt opt for respect. We are all related eventually in our histories.

'Be kinder than necessary, everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.'
