Due to spam issues, removed e-mail from being visible. If you need to contact me and don't have my e-mail, please post on my wall. Most memorials I add have been verified by viewing the grave, seeing a photo of the headstone (with GPS if GPS was attached to the photo) or by verifying with several independent sources to document cemetery location.

I personally photographed over 95% of the photos I have uploaded, and have permission from the copyright holders for the remaining ones. Some of them have asked me to not to list their names after they were hassled by some people because they would not allow the photos to be used on other sites, especially paid sites like Ancestry.com. If you wish to use any of the photos on other websites (including Family Search, Ancestry.com and any of its affiliates, etc.), contact me and I will let you know if the photo can be used.

I will consider OOG (out of guideline) transfers on an individual basis as long as the memorial isn't for a person related to me, but please state the nature of the relationship (family, close friend, etc.). I don't do bulk transfers. I reserve the right to not transfer OOG in certain situations.

I always do a detailed multi-stage search before, and immediately after, adding a new Memorial to avoid creating a duplicate Memorial. However, on rare occasions, an existing name doesn't show up in a search. If that happens, please let me know and I will either remove the duplicate Memorial I added or submit it to edit to be merged for those memorials older than a few weeks to avoid the ghost issue that can crop up on Ancestry if the memorial is in Ancestry's index. However, if I added the Memorial first, mine is not the duplicate. Part of this approach includes making sure they are added to the correct cemetery. This includes comparing cemetery records when available to other records, checking obits and death certificates, looking at photos that were taken with GPS-enabled devices, etc. Again, sometimes the research doesn't indicate when a person has been moved from Cemetery A to Cemetery B, or that Cemetery A was later acquired by Cemetery B. I won't add someone based solely on obit or death certificate information as the information may be incorrect. Update 2: With the new SAC/Edit system, we won't be seeing as many e-mails, but I do check e-mail because some will still come through e-mail and I check the Edits tab on a regular basis.I try to get to SAC/Edit requests as soon as I see them. If I haven't gotten to your request within a week, please feel free to post a message on my wall with the ID of the Memorial. I check my Spam folder on a regular basis, but I get enough e-mail that a request can occasionally fall through the cracks. The nature of the Edit/SAC will determine how I handle it. Looking for a variety of names spread mostly across the eastern half of the U.S.Honoring the memory of my Dad who was in the Air Force, my brother who served in the Marines and Army, and for the many relatives who have served in the military over the years.

Updated 9 February 2022, still alive and kicking.
