Bio

I love Find A Grave and the resource it has proven to be to so many. I try to portray my bios accurately and also include notes that invite others to contact me if they have information or corrections. I assume this site is something we should all work on together. I have met some amazing researchers on this site. Really incredible and helpful people.

I will answer all contacts ..even edits that I decline if only to double check and make sure everything is correct..or perhaps just to say "thank you".

THAT BEING SAID..I AM TIRED OF THE RUDENESS AND THE "HOLIER THAN THOU" ATTITUDE SOME OF THE PEOPLE ON THIS SITE HAVE PORTRAYED LATELY. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO HEAR FROM PEOPLE AND YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE ACCURACY OF YOUR MEMORIALS THEN WHY BE A MEMBER OF FIND A GRAVE? I HAVE BEEN EXTREMEMLY POLITE WITH REQUESTS AND EDITS AND WHEN POSSIBLE I TRY TO SEND DOCUMENTATION FOR THE MEMBER TO VIEW WHEN I AM REQUESTING AN EDIT. WORK TOGETHER PEOPLE. THIS IS ABOUT THE MEMORIALS TO THOSE THAT CAME BEFORE US. IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU OR HOW MANY MEMORIALS YOU MANAGE. NO ONE CARES HOW MANY MEMORIALS YOU "MANAGE". IF YOU ARE NOT DOING IT CORRECTLY THEN IT IS A MOOT POINT.

I have been working on the Family Tree for about 15 years and loving every minute of it. Thanks to my Grandmother Amy Katherine Gardella Wyman and Grandmother Leta Louella Martin Rosebrook, and my Great Grandmother Minnie Florence Sampson Martin who were all doing Genealogy before it was popular, when they actually wrote letters and traveled to see these families. They left me boxes of notes, documents, obits, photos, complete photo albums and Bible Pages. I have met many wonderful researchers and contributors to Find A Grave! Many caring, helpful teachers. I have not been a contributor as much as I wish but there is a lot more to come. Please feel free to contact me for any information I might be able to help you with or if you have information for me.

USE ANY OF MY PHOTOS YOU WISH TO USE FOR GENEALOGY. THAT IS WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN NUMBERS OF MEMORIALS I MANAGE, AND I DO NOT NEED ACKNOWLEDGMENT.

I copied this from another members page...it is so fitting...

DEAR ANCESTOR
Your tombstone stands among the rest; neglected and alone.
The names and dates are chiseled out, on marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care, it is to late to morn.
You did not know that I exist, you died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you, in flesh, blood and bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse, entirely not our own.
Dear ancestor, the place you filled, one hundred years ago.
Spreads out among the ones you left, who have loved you so.
I wonder if you knew, that someday I would come and visit you.

History is so very important...and WE CANNOT REWRITE IT it but we must savor it and appreciate what our ancestors went thru so we could be here. Documentation and records are a great tools.

However: If you copy any information I have submitted I only ask that it be applied correctly to correct information and if you have any information that you feel I have applied incorrectly please contact me. That is what this is all about..helping and sharing...

The Families I am researching are:
Gardella
Wyman
Moseley
Harding
Dowane (deWayne) many, many spellings
Marshall
Martin
Rosebrook
Crawford
Bondurant
Sampson
Smith
Fisk/Fiske
Tuttle
Perkins
Ruggles
just to mention a few.....

And of course all of their extended Famlies
