Find A Grave says: ...the goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.

--------------------------------------------------

I've been doing genealogy since the fall of 2006. I can't recall exactly how or when I discovered Find A Grave, but it has been an amazing resource that I come back to time and time again. I try to contribute here in my own small way by adding memorials for people I discover during the course of my research and by submitting edit requests to add maiden names, parents and spouse links to existing memorials. My goal is to honor my ancestors and relatives by subscribing to Find A Grave's mission as outlined above.

In keeping with this mission, I will usually have no problem with transferring management of any of the memorials that I currently manage. To request a transfer, please put in a request using the edit tab in the upper right of the memorial, and then use the "Suggest any other correction or addition" link to let me know your Find A Grave contributor number and your relationship to the person whose memorial you are requesting transfer of.

I believe in sharing the information I've gathered (other than Social Security numbers and information on living people), as I've learned quite a bit from others sharing with me. You can usually find additional information about the people I've added, along with my source for that information, by visiting my website. Alternately, feel free to post a message here, or send an email using the link at the bottom of all the pages at my website.

--------------------------------------------------

Note: Feel free to make use of any of my photos (unless it's a photo that I've posted by permission of someone else as noted in the photo caption), although I would greatly appreciate a credit being given of "Photo by Dan Stone (http://www.danstone.info)". Thank you.
