Bio

Genealogy has been my passion for over fifty years. Because finding family and learning to "know" them is so interesting, I want to record here enough information to give those who seek their ancestors a good start toward locating the correct people.

I vow to write information for which I have official documentation only. It is a joy to chart information I find in such a way that pieces can be put together to prove who is related. I often use an Excel spreadsheet to lay out the data to see how records fit together.

I greatly enjoy linking people together with other family members and I've linked hundreds of families. My genealogy experience is rather extensive, so it is usually easy for me to interpret confusing records. To be sure I have the correct person, I follow that person from birth to death to see all the information to be considered. As I link, I imagine excited family members sometime in the future discovering a piece of their family puzzle.

In the five-generations photo attached to my profile, I am the baby, mother is holding me, then clockwise is her mother, Jessie Pearl Beardmore; then her mother, Mahala Jane Kinsey; then her mother, Elizabeth Ann Devore.

For my father's ancestry, look at my publication, Daniel Mallett, His Ancestors and Descendants, which is available in many libraries across the nation. (I have also compiled family books for many of my friends.)
