RE: John & Margaret Kearns

I see that John Kearns is buried in CE8/84 whereas Margaret Kearns is buried in CE13/46. It can be quite usual for other people to be buried in the same grave.

I will have a look when I am next at the cemetery. It might be difficult finding the exact locations of the plots with no headstones but I will try to get photos of the general areas.

Hi Chuck my good friend of David Lotz. It is about 12-15 feet away and it is a community mausoleum.

Cemetery records show Mr. Hamilton interred in Laurel, NW, U, 60. When the snow melts I will look for his grave and take a picture for you.

RE: Rosetta Maxey Howard
Thanks for your message!! Great to have extra eyes checking all this. There was some clarification needed here, which I neglected to add to the memorial. Too little time. Now done, plus a small bio. I originally picked up her burial information at Burr Oak came from "Blues A Regional Experience", page 157, which states Burr Oak in Worth. I have found the book to be very well researched and reliable. She is listed in its index and heading as Rosetta Howard. Her very brief bio. there continues with further naming her as Rosetta Howard Armstrong d. in Chicago at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's. I checked and found her in the Cook County Death Certificate index which shows her as "ARMSTRONG, ROSETTA HOWARD", File 625996, Date 10/08/1974. I suspect the records of Burr Oak will show her as Armstrong. Let me know if not or if you get the plot location.

I am trying to link her mother to her memorial but it said you have a pending request to link someone and was curious as to whom you are linking Florence to, as I cannot link her mother to her with a pre-existing request pending.

RE: Wanda Bolken
I pulled out the family records on Wanda Bolken, and do have the dates and places of her marriages which I have added to her Find A Grave memorial. Those records lead me to believe she is not the mother of Candy Givens. But I await your response to see what you have. Wanda Branning Bolken was the daughter of my grandfather's brother, and my records are not complete at times. Have a great day!

RE: Wanda Bolken
Hi, I read with interest about Candy Givens. I did some preliminary research, and am wondering if you can direct me to your source of information. I see in a bio written for Candy her mother was Wanda Denton. Familysearch shows two Richard Ramey's were born in Iowa, one in 1925 son of Patrick, the other 1926 son of Carl. I didn't find any records or news items to help me sort out who was who. Thank you! I appreciate any tidbit that helps me discover more about my family.

He's not listed as being buried there, but could be and no one has entered him yet. I checked the SSDI and their is a Richard H Martz b. 3/15/1938 d. 8/25/2011.
I don'r know if that's him though. Donna

RE: William D Martz
I checked the Social Security Death Index and Their is no Wm D Martz dying in 1998. Their is one in Lancaster that died on the date listed on the stone. I don't personally know them, but I'll check with the cemetery.

RE: Jimmy Burke
I think you're right.. although they both died in 1996, James J Burke was interned on April 18.. DOD was April 13.. and yes your DOB is correct.. All we know for sure is their date of death especially when they die in prison. Another issue was Burke’s real last name being Conway.. Most gangsters lie about their true age, their name etc. making their graves difficult to locate. Their RAP sheets often consist of multiple names which is why they are only identified by their NYSID.

Are you sure he was born and died on the same day? I had looked and found no death record for him on the index, which usually records such births/deaths even if the child only lived for a few minutes. I am not doubting you, just curious about your source. The California Death Index does not include stillborns, only babies who would have had a birth record and death certificate issued.
