|Pat Mowins||memorial 552286|
I think this is a very dear old friend, Harry/Mike Dana who I knew from northern NY. The Syracuse area. I would like to find his only daughter, Linda Frances Dana, last known to be in Oakland, CA. Does this memorial have a headstone?
If so, I would like a photo. If he was cremated, please let me know.
I am happy there is a memorial for him. I did know he died as a NY policeman in 1993. He was a kind and gentle man. He came to my daughters high school graduation and took pictures of her for me in 1971. That was the last time I saw him.
Please send me a photo of his stone if there is one or let me know where he rests.
My member # 47719486. Thank you, John.

|J. Edward Ross||Photo on incorrect memorial|
Please remove the photo you uploaded to Vincent "D" Trezza'a memorial(127806331).
It belongs on the memorial for Vincent "F" Trezza (72361675).
I declined the edit you requested for the same reason. I've changed the correct memorial.

|richard v.||Two Grave Photos|
I am Find A Grave member #48086776. Approximately three years ago, I had requested two grave photos of #123103310 and #97330592 (they are side by side). Both are interred in the "Moscow Benevolent Society" section of Mount Judah Cemetery in Brooklyn NY, Block P, Graves @232 and #233. Although my request is still open, I thought it possible that there is an error. I realize the weather is against you, but would appreciate when it improves and you have the free time to do so, would you kindly take a photo of them? Thank you very much.

It may well be that you chose not to specify the location of his crypt, but it is in the Van Cortland Community Mausoleum, inside the cemetery near the corner of Jerome Avenue and East 233 Street. Or anyway, that's what I discovered at this website, which seems reliable: http://stephenesherman.com/robert-moses-gravesite/

|IZ||Photo of Mt. Carmel Cemetery Gate|
Your photo of the the entrance to "New" Mt. Carmel is one of my favorites. A lot has happened at Mt. Carmel in the 10 years since you snapped that picture. The beautiful red-brick office that can be seen in the background has been demolished and the land has been converted to burial grounds. All Mt. Carmel business is centralized in the "Old" Mt. Carmel Cemetery office and I can't really blame them for putting the land to good use, but the loss of the architecture is disturbing.
The problem is that Mt. Carmel manages some other cemeteries in the area (I don't think they own them, they just maintain them) and they have demolished the stunning office at Machpelah Cemetery (Houdini is buried there) and I fear that the Mount Neboh office is next. God forbid they demolish the office at the Hungarian grounds (which they actually do own). It is a magnificent example of architecture from days gone by.
You might want to post an updated photo of the Mt. Carmel gates, people should see what has been done and let Mt. Carmel know that we should be preserving the past, not destroying it.

|OnlyYouFryczek||sorry, correcting a typo|
I'm sorry, I misspelled your name as Charella instead of Chiarella. It was a typo.
Added by OnlyYouFryczek on Aug 26, 2016 12:02 PM
Dear Mr. Charella,
I just created the Find a Grave memorial for my father a few days ago. I don't have many photos of him (and don't know how to upload them, in any event) and so I thought his memorial would look rather barren.
I was so surprised when I completed it to see a photo of the cemetery where he reposes!
I just want to thank you for your amazing kindness and generosity in providing these pictures for us. It means a lot.
Thank you very, very much.

My name is Mark Samuels, and you are listed as taking the picture of Mount Carmel Cemetery where my Great-Grandparents are buried. Am working on our family tree and I am still missing photos of their headstones. If you are in the area and can take them for me, I would be greatly appreciated. I also have a few other requests on my page for other members of my family if you know of anyone that can assist. In any event thank you.

I know, can't call on my phone but I do have their address - I was hoping someone was walking in the cemetery and would remember the name and maybe see it on a headstone. The cemetery charges an arm and a leg to find out where relatives are buried!!

|John Belding||Osborn Family Graveyard|
The Union Landing Historical Society accepted the responsibility of restoring the Osborn Family Graveyard in 2000. This was completed in 2001. I was the Project Director in charge of the restoration and presently Chairman of the committee assigned to maintain this site. The Borough of Brielle has also been very helpful to me. I have copied the inscriptions on the headstones. I am attempting to correct and add to the information posted on Find a Grave, but seem to be experiencing some difficulty. I write you seeking your guidance. My e-mail address is email@example.com and I am also the Brielle Borough Historian with borough e-mail of firstname.lastname@example.org. My office phone number here at the Borough is 848-232-5117. I will indeed appreciate hearing from and you might possibly guide me how to submit info. I find the official instructions on line a somewhat confusing although probably clear to everyone else. Many thanks for your assistance.

I was asking because I can't call them on my phone.
Looking for someone to go to the office and find out where my relatives were buried and possibly take photo.
I never found an email for the office.
