Hi, I was sent a correction pointing out that I created a duplicate memorial (75429195) on an earlier memorial (9623134). As I need to delete the duplicate, I was hoping you could add the photos you took to the earlier memorial. Thanks for your efforts. Ann

Robert Samuel CARSON #7994409
Robert Samuel CARSON was born in Hennepin County, Minnesota and not in Manitoba. He is listed in the Minnesota Birth Index with the certicate number 41815. His family moved to Manitoba shortly after his birth where his brother Jack CARSON was born.

Al Friedlander
Tony - What I do for findagrave - a week ago I spent an hour in the Columbarium and then wound up in the ER with respiratory distress. They had cleaned the Chapel and Col. with some insane chemical cleaner and at the time, I never thought about my asthma. In fact I didn't figure out the cause of the problem until I was at home. I'd like my medal to be in copper please with a profile of Harold Rosson!

Sure hope you're up and about - I've sent mystical positive thoughts your way. I'll be back to look for Lillian D. very soon. This claim for Frielander will have to wait until the 13th day to give the Col. a chance to air out. Jim

Robert Doran
I'm assuming that Robert Doran started life as Robert Doerrer? The location, dates, first name all match - just not the last name. If this isn't him, let me know and I'll delete the photos. Jim

RE: re: Rudolph Bylek
Ok, on my map that area is called the Single Grave Section. I'll mosey around after the weather goes back under 80 degrees. hope all is well with you, Jim (I'm going to start selling on ebay again - my 6 year ebay vacation is over now that I'm officially officially retired - I left my volunteer job in August - yippee!)

Do you have a map that shows that specific grave location? My map doesn't include #826.

Hey Tony, I came across this headstone, today, while doing randoms at Holy Cross. I tried to find something on him that would make them put this walk of fame symbol on the tablet but could not. Does he ring any bells for you? James

I was reviewing the find a grave report on this gentleman, and noticed there were 2 reports on the same man. The other, # 120359294 was made by "B" on 11/15/2013. That contributor has since given all "his" reports to findagrave to manage. That report has the grave photo and info yours could use to complete. Perhaps you can merge them and manage or vice versa. Maybe you can conact find a grave and decide how you want to do it, so there's only one. Yours has the occupation, which is nice. We are trying to get a new list of who's buried in St. Ambrose since it is so incomplete. So we are also trying to cleanup or add to find a grave reports since both of us are contributors. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Jean

I found her marker but she's Mae on her stone. The dates matched and it was the right location. I'll be posting her photos and also Arch Selwyn (and wife) later.

L.A. Civil War Veterans
May I use the grave marker photo's that you have contributed to a few of our "Old soldiers" that have roots/ties to Vermont, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? (

The names I have are John Hackett, Orville Bell, and Washington Barrett. There may be others I haven't discovered yet.
I am working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our C.W. patriots.

You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

Hi, TLS! Would you please transfer Lydia A. Lukhart to me? She is my husband's great-grandmother. I have much to add to her site.
Thank you very much! Virginia Hudson Young

RE: The Batty's
I was searching for a marker in Section 6 on Saturday. It was bizarre - there were markers that looked like the ground was swallowing them, they were tilted as if a giant had stepped on one side of them - I'd never seen it that bad before. I've been encouraging folks to ask for a probe before they make plans to have the grave marked. When I see your name or Seidelman's or James's(Romper) I know that at one point there was a marker there. Sheesh! (Hope this finds you well!) Jim

RE: The Batty's
Who knew that when I accepted two photo requests I'd end up creating 3 new memorials and adding (thank you!) photos to 7 Batteys. Of course now we know that the original 3 have disappeared under the grass because how else could you have created their memorials? I've already suggested that the requesters ask for a probe but I'm done with the project - whew!

RE: Reginald Owen
Oh, ok. That's to bad though because really, Owen's playing "Scrooge" was his most famous role. Thanks for looking into it.

Added by Bunny on Aug 06, 2016 4:22 AM

Reginald Owen
Owen is perhaps best known today for his performance as Ebenezer Scrooge in the 1938 film version of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, a role he inherited from Lionel Barrymore, who had played the part of Scrooge on the radio every Christmas for years until Barrymore broke his hip in an accident. That should be included in his bio. Thanks

RE: William Cullen
No,not a big deal, when you're done finding movie stars and creating memorials, let me know and I'll create memorials for the others. Of course at the moment the Columbarium is hot without any fresh air so when it gets cooler I'll start on it. Jim

RE: William Cullen
Sure! I stumbled across a trick for shooting those "tarnished" markers - use the flash and take photos from several angles. One of them usually turns out pretty good and then I can photo shop it to bring out the names even more clearly. Those markers really test my patience though, even for Wm Cullen I had to take about 15 photos. Jim

I forgot the last part. Jim S seems to gladly transfer memorials so you could ask him for a transfer and then do your own merging. Jim

Ethel May Halls
Hi Tony - I claimed your photo request for Ethel and started to work on her photos and found that a memorial existed before yours - #6464552 - that Jim Seidelman created. That one has a crypt photo. I'm going to post a long shot to it. Also I'm posting a close up and long shot to Frank Layton Halls memorial - he's next to Ethel (husband?).
