John & Eve Shaffer Family
Hi Lorraine,
John Shaffer, Sr. and his wife Eve Elizabeth (Kelchner) are my 6th great grandparents.
Their son George Henry Shaffer 1781-1874 and wife Barbara (Slagle) are my 5th great grandparents.
Their daughter Sarah “Sally” (Shaffer) born 1812 and husband George Newton 1805-1874 are my 4th great grandparents.
I am looking for proof that Sarah “Sally” Shaffer was the daughter of George Henry and Barbara (Slagle) Shaffer.
Do you have any info that would help me with my search or a suggestion of where I could look?
Thanks – Karen Walker

Daniel Blake
My names Diane, Daniels wife, Julia Chamberlin Blake signed his death certificate but I'm not able to find a death record for her? Do you have any ideas? I believe I found her in Indiana dying in 1928, but its only an index record with no other information. Julia is a relation of mine.
Thanks for any help.

Traci's Mom
Token you left for Traci Fields
Thank you very much for the token you left for my angel daughter Traci. She was a wonderful gift from GOD, and she's in my heart and mind every single day. Her passing has left major holes in the hearts of her family and friends.

I appreciate you helping to reach my goal of 5,000 tokens by her birthday, November 20th. Actually, thanks to you and other findagravers, so far today Traci has received 6,026 flowers/tokens. That makes my family and I extremely happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I'm thankful and blessed for your kindness. GOD bless you for your heavenly heart.

I am so overwhelmed with all the findagrave friends requesting flowers/tokens for my Traci. Thank you ever so much!

This is something I wrote for Traci:

It was a cold, quiet night at the cemetery. The snow was falling gently to the ground. The only sound that could be heard was the whistling of the wind. Off in the distance I suddenly heard the tiny sound of jingling bells. I looked around and wondered where the life was in the stillness of this cemetery.

As I gazed around, I saw a ray of moonbeam shining down on a small Christmas tree.

I thought to myself, "This is where the life is in the cemetery!"

Ring the bells this holiday season in memory of those you love.

The flowers
Thank you for the beautiful flowers you put on my fathers grave. He loved flowers, and worked in his yard all the time. He had beautiful roses, and irises, and a fantastic vegetable garden.

Blakes of Jermyn, PA
Hi Lorraine,

I'm a great grand daughter of George and Margaret Jane Jeffery Blake. I found you on the grave listing for George Hobson Blake, Jr. & would love to fill-in family tree for George's line; at this time the only child I have is Kim, who lives in Hilton, married to James Sapienza (I also have the names of their children,).

There are Blake descendants in Rochester & SC (
I don't know if you learned that Edgar Jr (resided in Peckville, PA) just recently passed.

Will you link George's listing to his dad's (Find A Grave #95730748), so family members can identify relatives.

Brenda (grand daughter of Lovedy Margaret Blake Seip)
