Pirrie, St Louis
Hi Carole,
I may well be related to James and Isabel Hoggshaw Pirrie (my great-grandfather being his brother).
Unfortunately, I have her as Isabella Hogg or Pirrie and I have his father as Alexander Pirrie, but his grandfather as William Pirrie, contrary to one or two other family history trees I have seen, which makes me somewhat uncertain.
I believe that James Pirrie moved from North-East Scotland to Glasgow in the 1870's and to Belfast in the 1880's.
I suspect that he then emigrated to the USA between 1886 and 1888, but cannot find a relevant ship's passenger list or immigration record.
If I could find those, any family travelling with him might confirm my thoughts and overcome the differences described above!
I will e-mail you, separately, a link to my family tree for your information.
Any thoughts/information would be welcome.
Kind regards,
Bruce Fyfe

After looking at the dates, it really didn't make sense for me to approve it either. I removed the link for the parents. You can send over the new links.

Robert Andrews
Harry C Andrews
Harry C Andrews born 1888 in Norway Michigan and died in 1962 in St Louis county has a bio that says
Son of William and Ida Hinckley Andrews and husband of Zola Andrews.
It does indicate that his parents were James William Andrews and Ida Hinkley.
James William Andrews often went by his middle name, William. I wonder where this information came from because not many records have his given name as William.
Also, Harry C Andrews 1st married Jessie Dennison in Pike, Illinois. They divorced and she married and is found as Jessie Lavenberg died and is buried in St Louis, Missouri in Oct 1975.
I don't know how to add this fact to Harry C Andrews' bio.

If you are related to Harry Wishne, would you happen to know the full names of his parents? I am documenting the Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol cemetery in Ladue, Missouri and have come across Harry's grave marker. Please help if you can.

Thank you.

Ellen McBride Craib
You are correct that Ellen was the wife of Balfour Stuart Craib but she is not buried with him at Lake Charles. She is interred in the McBride family mausoleum in Calvary in St. Louis. This was the second marriage for Ellen and Balfour. Ellen was married to Ralph A. Morris, also in the McBride mausoleum, and Balfour was married to Ralph's sister Mollie Morris initially. Ralph and Mollie, both died maybe from influenza and Ellen and Balfour married. Here is a link to the effect that Ellen is with the rest of the McBrides in Calvary but I'm sure the Calvary records would be better authentication.

I'm Balfour Craib's great niece. My father John Craib Cox was his nephew.
The only family members buried at Lake Charles are Bal, his sister Isobel Lenore Craib Cox Pehle, his mother Catharine Clark Ferguson Craib, and his father John Cumming Craib. Hope this helps.

Thank you for putting my sister's information on the web. How did u connect that? Really enjoying this find a grave. We grew up spending a lot of time in St Peters cemetery after my brother died at age 6. So true what you said about graves.
