|Gary Theroux||Gaylord Lloyd|
I have added a couple of photos to this page and can add a more detailed bio if you'd like me to take over the Gaylord Lloyd page. Gaylord was actually married twice. His first wife was Maye Belle Gates Lloyd. They married in 1918 and had one son, Gaylord, Jr. (1921-1996). Maye died at Clara Barton Hospital in Los Angeles in 1922 of an acute intestinal obstruction and myocarditis, one day before their son's first birthday. Gaylord's second wife, was born Vera Lorena Webb and came with her family to Los Angeles at the age of three. When she was in her late teens, she changed her name to Barbara Starr and entered the movie industry as an extra. While working as an extra, she met Harold and Gaylord Lloyd. In 1924 she married Gaylord. In 1925 she starred in her first movie, "Let's Go Gallagher". She made a few other films and her last known film was "Range Riders" in 1934. She and Gaylord divorced in 1931. Vera died in Los Angeles January 20, 1987. -- Gary Theroux

Hey, I e-mailed you an invite to a private tour of Mountain View by the owner. He is so cool and is the 6th generation owner. I thought you might enjoy it. James

Thank you so much for adding the memorial article I sent.

Hey, I posted the photo on your memorial. I would like to keep the one I created, only because it is the name she was buried under. I put a note on the photo noting why the names don't match. You have done some great work. James

I was hoping you could tell me if Vincent Bugliosi's grave is in a section of Forest Lawn that allows you to enter if you are not a relative? Thanks!

|Louis du Mort||RE: Lemmy|
Thanks for the info on Barris. I certainly know where to look now, as well as for Natalie. I had not seen the YouTube posting until you mentioned it - very interesting...
I was at FLG last week looking for an architect who may or may not be in the Great Mausoleum. I'm most proud of my 'photo requests fulfilled' which has been rewarding and sometimes fun. The majority of them are from Rose Hills in Whittier where I live. I'm closing in on 5000, but this time of year isn't ideal for shooting pictures in bad sunlight, so it'll be a while before I hit the hills again.
I founded a group of cemetery aficionados in 2010 and we go out 'graving' each and every month. We haven't missed a single month yet! If you'd be interested in joining us on an outing, that would be a nice way to meet a fellow taphophile. On the 24th we're going to hit San Gabriel Cemetery and after lunch, the mission.
I hope you take me up on it.

|Louis du Mort||RE: Lemmy|
Also, I was glad to see you posted a picture of Vincent Bugliosi's headstone as well. I really appreciate the establishing shot - it made it easy for me to find him when I was there this past Sunday. Which Garden of Honor is George Barris in? The Pickford garden or the Sammy Davis garden? Do you have any idea where they planted Natalie Cole? The media stated she would be buried next to her parents, which we know isn't accurate. The earth beside her brother's grave wasn't turned on Sunday, but then again, her funeral was Monday. Thanks for the compliment on the bios. i sure hope to meet you one day.

|Gary Theroux||Elsie Baker|
Contralto Elsie Baker scored 26 hits on the Victor label (some under the name "Edna Brown" and some as half of duets) between 1912 and 1922. Her two #1 recordings were "I Love You Truly" in 1912 and "Hush-a-bye Ma Baby (The Missouri Waltz)" in 1917. Among the others: "Silent Night, Hallowed Night" (1912), "Daddy Has A Sweetheart and Mother Is Her Name" (1912), "The Trail of The Lonesome Pine" (1913; a song later revived by Laurel & Hardy!), "Home Sweet Home" (1915), "Simple Melody" (1916; a song later revived by Bing & Gary Crosby) and "Where The Lazy Mississippi Flows" (1921).

|Tina R.||Ivy Lawn/St. Francis Dam Mass Grave|
On behalf of ILMP, I am requesting a correction to the St. Francis Dam Memorial page which states our cemetery has an unmarked mass grave for the victims of the St. Francis Dam disaster. I've done extensive research and spoke with several past members of our board and there seems to be no record of a mass grave. We do have interments for the victims in our cemetery but not in one single location.

|Joan Frahm Allen||Richard Lane|
Hi. I just got an e-mail from Stevan Rich that the pictures I posted of Richard Lane's marker in the Pacific View Memorial Park in Newport Beach, California, are of a wrong Richard Lane.
When the office at a the cemetery gave me his location, I went and took the pictures and didn't pay enough attention to the dates on the headstone.
The Richard Lane in the cemetery here doesn't match the birth and death dates of the Richard Lane memorial page in findagrave. So I will delete the pictures I took and check again with the cemetery to see if they have another Richard Lane.
Sorry about my mess-up. I'll let you know if I find the correct headstone or whether he's just not buried here after all. I'll let you know what I find.

Can you please transfer this memorial to me? It is my Aunt. I can transfer it to my cousin if she decides she wants to be involved in Findagrave later. I sent you edits to link her with her parents. I do not know why you have not accepted the edits. I see you added her whole name now though. Thank you for that.

Hi hon! Yes, I am absolutely certain that the Columbarium of the Dawn is on the Holly Terrace. Now unless FLG snuck in a new terrace, the GM Terraces consist of Azalea, Begonia, Coleus, Dahlia, Memorial, Evergreen, Fuchsia, Gardenia, Holly, Iris and Jasmine. Just by way of interest, someone on Pinterest made a comment regarding the Holly Terrace:
The photograph on Findagrave of Frances Brose's area contains the family niche of Ed Wynn (the large gold marker) and this is located on the Holly Terrace. Honest. I swear. :) Gravely~Melissa

I have a beautiful photo of Alphonzo Bell to add here. The one on the memorial is really bad. There is a block on adding photos. Is there any way you can correct this. He deserves the much better photo. Thanks.

While fulfilling your photo request. I notice that laid to rest next to Chester is the grave of hertha H Bachman.
Is she the wife?
PS would you like me transfer management of her memorial over to you?
Glad to be of help,

|Zack Lofton||Chester/Charles Bachman|
Hi! Awesome info on Chester as an actor! I'm curious where "Charles" came from. He's seen as Chester on every single record I've found on him. His birth record, military, census, the CA death index, and the SSDI. I sent you some edits to change his name to Chester Arthur Bachman, with Charles as a nickname. Perhaps he used Charles, but I've seen it nowhere. Also, I sent links to his parents so he can be linked with his siblings as well. Thank you very much!
