John W. Martin 1917-2011
Hi DB,

I noticed that you contributed the photo for this memorial. Any idea who John Martin is buried next to? Next to his name on the tombstone is "Kathryn S." Could it be one of his wives? Thanks for the info!

RE: Hughson
Your very welcome.
I am related to both the Spafford & Burnett families so I am connected and very interested in the Pixley family as well.
Eldon Herbert Pixley is a 1st cousin 3 times removed through the Spaffords' and Richard Arthur Pixley is a 4th cousin once removed through the Burnetts' as two examples.
I am also very interested in the Hughson family as I have connections there through the Buck & Lyon families as well.

After a few seconds, the obit should have displayed (after they give the opportunity to subscribe!)

At any rate, here it is. There a few factoids that didn't make their way into the paper you consulted, which you may choose in incorporate.

Credit should be given to the Altoona Mirror, Feb. 19, 2016.

Lino Giuliani, 90, Vero Beach, Fla., formerly of Grant, Fla., passed away peacefully at home Jan. 17, 2016, after a long and adventurous life.

He was born in Rome, Italy, son of Enrico and Agata Giuliani.

Surviving are many beloved friends and family around the country, including his dear cousin, Arturo Julian of Gallitzin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Rosa in Italy.

In 1954, Lino immigrated to the United States to be with family and friends. He soon joined the U.S. Merchant Marines as a ship engineer, traveling the globe visiting other countries and exploring history. On Aug. 15, 1962, he received his Certificate of Naturalization and became a citizen of the United States, a pride that he felt never waned.

After retiring in 1990, he settled in Grant, Fla., and became a neighborhood friend known for pet-sitting and delivering Meals on Wheels to his friends. He always had a thirst for knowledge, a love of animals and a talent for cooking.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Barefoot Bay, Fla., followed by a reception in the parish hall. His ashes will be interred in Gallitzin at the family burial site at a later date. Arrangements are by Ammen Family Funeral Home, Melbourne, Fla.

William Cartwright
Mr. Johnson, you entered William Cartwright in "Find A Grave". On behalf of the Schreiber High School Performing Arts department, I'm trying to contact any friends and/or family members of Mr. Cartwright. He played the pipes in a 1971 production of "Brigadoon" at Schreiber High School. We've posted recordings of his playing and we thought his family and/or friends might like to hear them.

Martha Maroska
I requested a photo of the grave for Martha Maroska's husband. The request was kindly completed by Trackerjack. While there, he also photographed Mrs. Maroska's grave, and will happily add those photos to her memorial once he receives a formal request from you. If you would kindly post a request on his wall, he will be happy to upload the photographs to her memorial.

Susan Scott
Samuel Jordan Scott
Hi, my name is Susan Scott and am trying to find any information about Samuel Jordan Scott, born Sept 19, 1838 in Kentucky and died January 22, 1914 in Texas. He was married to Narcissa Elizabeth Cromartie who was born February 25, 1853 in North Carolina and died May 9, 1932 in Texas.

My husband is Samuel Jordan Scott's great grandson. We are trying to find ancestors and have not been successful yet in finding who Samuel Jordan Scott's parents are.

We would be grateful for any information that may help build our family tree.

Thank you,
Susan Scott

Would you like me to type it up for his bio or would you rather do that? I took pictures of it with my phone. It took about 5 shots to get all of it.

Thank you for the entry you made for George. I had made a search but your entry didn't show up until after I made one for each cemetery. Guess this happened because his interment was unknown at the time. Thank you again.

Dale Patrick Johnson
Patrick graves Centerville Texas
I am not an expert at this, but I believe that Walter A Patrick was first married to Jane Holt Stewart Patrick with whom he had all his children. Sophie Patrick was Walter's second wife and a step mother to all Walter's children.

The first of Walter and Jane's children was Frank A Patrick (my great grand father) who is buried in Palestine Texas after marrying Eliza Wallace.

Thank you so much for your work.

George Buck # 64366141
You have made a request for a tombstone photo for George Buck # 64366141 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in London

I don't believe that there is one to photograph. In the Canada GenWeb Project, all of Mt. Pleasant Cemetery has been photographed and put on line. There is no photo for him at that site. Also on the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid site, which is an index to all the stones recorded by the local genealogical society in the 1980's, there is no listing for him there either.

You may wish to remove your request for a photo since two sources say there is no stone.

p.s He is buried there for sure, as per his death certificate - just no tombstone.

Transferring memorial for Joe Finley
We both have memorials for Joe Finley. Mine was sent to me as a bulk transfer so because I didn't create it, I am unable to delete it. Also it has a picture of the tombstone on it so I don't want to lose that. So I am transferring it to you and I'm hoping that you can combine the two into one.

I also have his wife if you would like her memorial.

RE: Kio and Rees
Glad I finally found them. It helps a great deal when I have a location. I was able to get some old maps of the sections last year, and they help too, they've got the numbers on them. It narrows it down quite a bit.
