Bio

I was born and raised in Michigan. Retired U.S. Naval Officer (1969-1991) and retired federal civil service (Dept. of Navy) Director of Public Safety (NCBC Gulfport, 1992-2003). A widower, I lived aboard a classic 1919 52' Trumpy wood motor-yacht that I restored and lived on in Key West, Florida. Lost her to Hurricane Sandy and now I'm back ashore in Pensacola, Florida.
"Sailors know that the sea is dangerous, the storms and war's terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore".

The Justin Clan (my Faternal Branch) arrived in New England circa 1630. Migrating through Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont and into the Mohawk Valley of New York circa 1790. The extended Justin Clan migrated to St. Clair County, Michigan circa 1840 and spread into Sanilac, Lapeer, Midland, Gladwin & Saginaw counties.

The McGee Clan (my Maternal Branch), the MaGee and McCullar families emigrated from Island Maghee, County Antrim in what is now Northern Ireland in 1770 on the ship Hopewell out of Belfast, Ireland to Savannah, Georgia Colony. The extended MaGee - McCullar Clans migrated east from Burke County Georgia to Franklin County Tennessee circa 1807. The McGee Clan pushed west into the new Missouri Terrority, and settled in what is now Jefferson County, Missouri.
