You know the cemetery where there are 2 cemeteries the IOOF. YOu asked me if I was sure if my great grandmother was in that cemetery, well no I am not sure, but her stone which I took a picture of I think it was 2001 looks just like my great grandfather Wm, Baxter, I believe you and your husband went and trimmed the bushes for me and you took another picture of his marker for me. hers has to be by his. If you need any other info let me know they are both in one of the 3 cemeteries I visited and took the pictures of.

Hugs Deb

RE: Elma Burns
I believe you are correct with St. Mary's Cemetery. After reading about the added parishes thru the years (, I would assume she attended St. Joseph's Parish, but her family is buried at St. Mary's Cemetery. In 1900, there was a church called Ferndale Catholic Church. Is it still there? Or has the name been changed? The Roman Catholics have a history of keeping excellent records.

Her husband John Thomas Gray b. 12 Aug. 1879, died Feb. 10, 1942 should be in the same cemetery.
Did you happen to find a marker for him?

Christy thank you thank you for the transfers. I appreciate your work so much, and having done some similar work at a cemetary near my home I know how rewarding it is. It's literally the opposite of morbid, it is a joyeous thing to keep the memory of ancestors alive. Thank you again. If I may ever repay the lovely gesture in some way it would be my honor and pleasure. Most sincerely, JAX, a fellow "grave walker"

If you look at the back view headstone marker for my mom (Ardis M Abla - Memorial #14383957) You will see all of the kids listed. Me included. I am Carl II, listed on the left side. But you will also see the name of Pamela listed on the right hand side. That is a reference to Pamela Jean Hoopes.

Hi Christy, Yes I am currently working on this to get all of the links together. Pamela Jean Hoopes was the first daughter of my step-mother (second mom)Adis M Hill Hoopes Abla (memorial #14383957) And her first husband N.L. Hoopes (Memorial #42412) Pamela was killed in accident as an infant.

I am currently working on linking all of the information together. But the mother of this child Pamela Jean Hoopes (memorial #158069812) was Ardis M. Hill Hoopes Abla. (memorial #14383957) Norvan Le Grande Hoopes (memorial # 42412) was her first husband.

Thank you for the edit reminder. I accepted it with the change to George's birth location. He was born in California , Moniteau, Missouri. ( relative of mine). I know the word "California" appears on his records sometimes, and confuses people.
Thank, Elaine.

Thomas Kitterman
Hi Cristy
I knew you were the requester for the photo. I was wanting to make sure we found out where he was buried. I went to BillionGraves and he is listed there as being buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in Alabama. Although the military has him as being buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Bend. Maybe because the names for the cemeteries are very close and an error was made in the transcribing of the records. I am not sure.

Now for more confusing stuff. I just called the phone number for the cemetery and ended up talking to the funeral home. They have no listing for any Kitterman in the Greenlawn Cemetery. Now there is more of a mystery.

Well I don't know where to go now to look for this gentleman.
