Bio

Born 02 May 1943 to Percy Iven & Flossie Lola(Love)Morrison in Kankakee, IL. Attended school in the Kankakee area until I graduated from Kankakee Senior High School in 1961. Graduated with a BS Degree from Illinois State University, Normal, IL., in 1965. Taught in Rich Township Schools, District 227, Richton Park, IL., for the next 35 years. During that time, I earned a Master's Degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana, IL. I completed all the requirements for a doctorate in history from Illinois State University except for the last chapter of my dissertation; hence I am classified as "ABD"--all but dissertation. Retired from Rich Township(Rich South)in 2000.

I then went to work for the Forest Preserve District of Will County in their "Operations" Department. I was stationed at the Monee Reservoir, just south of Monee, IL., for eight years, before I retired from that position. My intentions are to stay retired, but one never knows,

Married twice. Have two sons, Darren Ray (deceased-04 Jan 2010) & Scott Douglas Morrison. Have lived in unincorporated Monee since 1982 in the log cabin home I and my wife built on 2 1/2 wooded acres. Completed a "Love Family" history in 1994 for my Mother's side of the family--the Loves. Am currently working on a family history of the Morrisons of Illinois.I take a great deal of pride in being a contributor to Find A Grave. All pictures taken are sent through several photo programs to come up with the best enhanced picture possible before it is posted to a memorial. I do not mind if pictures are used provided you give me credit.

I prefer you leave a public message, but you may email if you wish.
