I've been around genealogy and multimedia development for a long time. I've worked as a Creative Director and graphic designer for agencies and corporations for over 20 years creating print and electronic materials. And am an expert in making the most of today's social media tools.On the genealogy side, I began researching my own family history following an 8th grade project and never stopped. I research and run a family history newsletter that goes out to over 70 family members each month along with a web site to share findings, documents and photos. In 2007 I was instrumental in the founding of theHudson County Genealogical Society in New Jersey and am active on the society's board. I am webmaster for the group's popular public web site (nearly 20,000 visitors in 2009) as well as its private site serving over 250 members.I live in northern New Jersey and spend a good deal of time researching my family's roots which come from Ireland, Austria, Germany, France and Canada and lived in the Hudson County area. I regularly visit Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Orange, NJ, Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ and Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair, NJ doing family research and volunteer grave photos as well as work for my professional genealogy media services and research company Origins Genealogy Services.
