Thomas Denton Elder Sr.

The Thomas Denton Elder who was my ancestor was born to Samuel D. Elder and Elizabeth Ester Gray (not her maiden name). I'm only finding 9 children and 3 were from her first marriage:
John W. 1849, Margaret E 1851, Thomas D 1856,
Francis Marion 1857, Joseph E. 1859, William H. Gray 1847, James H. Gray 1851, Samuel B. Gray 1854. On a 1870 census another James is listed born in 1862.

Some of these names appear in the bio but not all and there are names that appear that I don't have any record on any census.

Can you help?

Kathy Kozar

Do you know what the sources are for the information given on his memmorial? There were several Isaac Dials in the same place at the same time and I am trying to sort them out.

Logue cemetery location
Hey Christine,
I would like to make a visit to the Logue Family Cemetery when I visit family in Illinois later this month. I'm having trouble locating its location. Would you by chance be able to help me out? I'm helping my mom with genealogy research and we are related to the Logues through the marriage of Emily Jane Logue and George Washington Rhodes.

Thank you for your help,

Alfred Wright
Christine - I apologize for leaving the public comment, but there is a question regarding Alfred Wright at Memorial# 17022458.indicated as follows [forgive the ‘caps’, they are to draw specific attention only]:

ALFRED was the son of PHILBERT (PHILLIP) WRIGHT AND NANCY YATES. He married 1st Nancy Pointer. They were the parents of 12 children: George Wesley, Rebecca, Polly Ann, Cornelious, Nancy, Matilda, Martha, William S., Infant Boy, Elizabeth, Columbus C. and Henrietta Wright.
He married 2nd 7 Apr 1864 to Elizabeth Gabbert

Family links: Parents:
JACOB WRIGHT (1803 - 1894)

The first 'statement' above indicates that Alfred was the son of Philbert Wright and Nancy Yates. However, I believe the error occurred as a result of 2 ALFRED’s which makes the following a bit confusing.
These are shown as his [Alfred 1805]'siblings':
ALFRED WRIGHT (1805 - 1876) [please note the vast age difference for this Alfred and the one abov. Is is likely that THIS Alfred is Jacob’s brother, Alfred, not his son. The age of the above Alfred [b. 1805] is inconsistent with that as relates to the ‘siblings’ noted below.]

Sons of Jacob and Rebecca's are correctly allocated to them:
William Thompson Wright (1828 - 1913)
Noah Wright (1830 - 1863)
John Laton Wright (1840 - 1923)
ALFRED W. WRIGHT (1841 - 1918) T
Isom C. Wright (1844 - 1896)
Josiah Wright (1849 - 1852)

My primary research [also direct family] is the Philbert Wright family of Maryland and Wright’s later in NC, KY, TN and other ‘migrated to’ places.

Memorial# 17754191 John William Thompson Sr
Hi Christine,

Please delete this memorial for my cousin's husband, John William Thompson, Sr, as he is not buried in this cemetery and it is a dup memorial.

He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery and shares a headstone with his wife Elizabeth. Links to his parents (and wife) are submitted on that memorial (so as not to lose the connection to his parents that you have on this one). It also has a headstone photo in Greenwood. # 110795749

Thank you so much,

Would you happen to know anything at all about this particular individual? Could this be Madge YOUNG Bouyear, daughter of John Wesley Young and his wife Emma?

Know it's a long shot but gotta start somewhere.

Thank you.

RE: 16791894
I don't know if there is a memorial number for Daniel Logue 1864-1890 Married Susanna Statia McKenzie Logue 12-11-1884, their daughter Mary Logue grubaugh #63168418 was my great grandmother. She married Charles Edward Grubaugh 4-6-1903. Her mother is listed but not Daniel. Susanna, my great grandmother's mom's memorial 17714805 Daniel Logue 1864 - 1890 isn't listed as her spouse.

This is my 4th great grandmother. If you could add her father Daniel Logue 1769-1851, Daniel's father James Logue 1730-1831. I am so sorry to hear about Beverly. If you want you can transfer this to me.

thank you

RE: Margaret Logsdon Durbin
Christene, I don't think the picture is the problem with this memorial. Birth and death dates match the stone. This memorial should not be for Margaret Logsdon Durbin but rather for a Margaret ? who married a John Durbin. I am sure if research is done you will find that Margaret Logsdon Durbin has different Birth and death dates. Has Deborah Dillow Shobe agreed to delete her photo? If so and you insist I will delete mine. I just feel you will have a memorial with incorrect data.

This is about Margaret Logsdon Durbin again. I contacted the person who posted the picture of the wrong Margaret Durbin to this memorial site. The Margaret Durbin on the gravestone posted is also buried in St. Luke's and her husband John A. Durbin is supposed to be buried there, also. I couldn't find a memorial for him there. I wonder if it would be easier if you would transfer the memorial for Margaret Durbin, Find A Grave#: 16892415 to me. She is my 2X GG. I could create a memorial for John and Margaret Durbin. Thank you.

They didn't merge! Now, what do we need to do? This is fun, isn't it? I thought they might merge. Do you want to transfer what was mine, and I'll add to yours, and then delete mine? Sorry for this should be easier than this!

Hi Christine...
So what are we going to do with my great grandmother's double Memorial Page? Do you want me to delete mine or do you want to ask me me to turn mine over to you so the two pages can be merged? Let me know. I just hate to see two Memorial Pages. Thanks!
