I was born & raised & still reside in Tacoma, WA. I became interested in family history when a girl and enjoyed hearing the stories my aunts & uncles would tell of their childhood with my mother in the state of Maine. I have been researching for almost 60 years, and worked in the genealogy libraries locally for over 25 yrs., a member of Mary Ball DAR for 37 years, and have received 2 certificates of appreciation from the City of Tacoma for my work in the public library, genealogy division. Recently awarded a certificate from the Washington State Gen. Soc for genealogical contributions since 1957. My husb. & I have walked through many graveyards, and have charted several that were rural graveyards and hope to enter the data for others to view. Have a special interest in my mother-in-laws family from Central Louisiana. Think this is a wonderful website.
