I volunteered as a photographer the very first time I entered this website because I thought the whole concept was a great idea! I've found helping folks document their ancestors and preserve deteriorating cemeteries to be a very worthwhile use of my spare time. However, I am sad to inform you all that I am no longer able to take cemetery photo requests and I have also moved from the Southside Virginia area. It was a joy to do it when I could!! I see sooo many more volunteers are now involved and the site has become much more technical (for my aging brain) than it was years ago.. Bless you all for what you do. It's a good thing!My root family includes Watkins, Jones, McLemore, Dickens, Majors, and Ragland -- located initially in Southside Virginia and Roxboro, NC.
