RE: William Pinckney Cooke
Okay. Thank you for the quick response. I have put in some request for pictures of other headstones. Hopefully I can get those. William's sister Barbara that married Jesse Lay, is my 3rd great grandmother.
If you have any other information or even pictures that you would be willing to share, I would really love to have them. If you would like to email me at the email address on file, that would be great.
Hope to "talk" to you again.

My name is Linda Olsen (#47343820), Judith Cooke is a distant relative of mine, 3rd great grand aunt. I was curious when you took pictures of the headstone for Judith and William Cooke, did you happen to get pictures of any of the other headstones in that cemetery? Last names: Lay, Odom
Thank you for your time.

A friend told me about this chance a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent edits to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"

******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you.
Then just review and accept.

Way easier for doing updates to names / dates / places / plot #s.

You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section or do linking.

RE: Lemuel Robbins Jr
Sorry on that one, Bruce. I was all confused with the Jr's & Sr's and all the children having same names and too tired to be sending requests. Mainly, I just wanted to share the new link with you. Now, I have to find John , Jeduthan's father and husband of "Jehosebeth Jourdaine Robbins"

Cheers, Rick

Hi Bruce, I created a memorial (# 123073194) for Lemuel Robbins Sr. Can you add him to Lemuel Jr's page as his father. This will complete the missing link.

Thank you, Rick

RE: Jehosebeth Jourdain Robbins
Hi Bruce:
Thank you for your additional information on this
memorial. As requested I added Jehosebeth's
maiden name. I also found in the Plymouth Colony
Records Jehosebeth's marriage to John Robins,
and added it to her memorial.
As far as year of birth, her gravestone does
say she died in her 83rd year and the year she
died was 1723. If you subtract the age (83) by
the year of death (1723) yes, that would give you
1640. But there is room there. You do not know
which month she was born and the gravestone
says in the 83rd year of her age which means
she was probably 82 years old when she died.
There are many births in Plymouth Colony which
are not documented.
You did mention a book about the Nicholas Robbins
family. Is this available full text on-line?
I would not mind adding the information from
the book to my memorial as long as I can
document where the information came from. I
feel documenting the information
gives researchers and family seeking ancestors
the discretion to either accept or reject the
Thank you once again,

RE: Lemuel Robbins
The oldest towns in the present county of Windham were granted by the Colonial government of New Hampshire. Of New Hampshire Grants on the east side of the Green Mountains, the seventh in chronological order was called Townshend. Lemuel Robbins was one of sixty-nine grantees for a tract of land to contain five hundred acres there. It seems all burials of the district before 1799 were on the farm of General Fletcher.

I think I'll have to create a memorial for him as burial unknown, as no way to prove he's buried there.

RE: Jeduthan Robbins
Thanks, Bruce, it was worth a try. I'm still missing his son, Lemuel Sr. Robbins b 1717 d 1786. He died in Plymouth, Mass. Do you by chance know where he is buried, as we need him to link Jeduthan in.

I did find Lemuel's son: # 27286361

I'm also trying to find Thomas Bass Robbins (1772 - 1826) burial to finish linking to the present. He died in West Stockbridge, Berkshire County, Massachusetts

RE: Jehosebeth Robbins
Hi Bruce:
I am sorry but I will not enter a birth
that is "about" in the birth field.
I have researched the Plymouth Colony
Records and did not find a date of birth
for Jehosebeth Robbins.
If you would like I could add in the
biography field that he was born abt.
1640 and the information was added by
you. I am not trying to be difficult
but if it is not found in the vital
records I will not add it. If I do use
information that is not found in the
vital records I indicate on my memorials
where the information came from.
Take Care,
