|Gary Lankford||RE: Gravestone for Allen J. Grantham #27301907|
Do you read the included text of this gravestone you photographed as Co. E (or D) 5th Ill. Inf.?
My grandfather, Allen Grantham Lankford was supposedly named for an Allen Grantham whom his father had known (either Civil War, or later Indian Wars not known to me), but my ggf's service was to the Confederacy, making this Allen Grantham an unlikely suspect for a Civil War connection if I read the inscription correctly...

Thank you for the information on Watson burials at Welborn Cemetery. Mina and Carlotta (Lottie) had TB and that was the reason that the family moved from Iowa to Missouri. My grandmother Erma was their younger sister. helen patricia

|AJ Tyson||Elizabeth Bay|
I see that you have posted a photo of Elizabeth Bay's gravestone in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Coffey county, and I was wondering if you were able to read the dates on the headstone? I'm unsure of the exact date of birth and death of my ancestor and I can't quite make out the dates on the photo. Any info you can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Why would you post a gravestone picture on a memorial that already has a very good picture of the same gravestone? Find A Grave Memorial# 18572503 - If you are related, I would be happy to transfer the memorial to your care.

I finally found him, he's listed on the muster rolls as Richard Jefferson and likewise buried that way. Find A Grave Memorial# 832940. The date of death they show is May 29, 1920, but he died according to obit May 22, 1920 in La Junta, Colorado.

will you take a look at the records there and see if you can find this soldier? I can't find him on the grave locator and he served in the 2nd Colored Troops Co A. Can't find him on the adjutant general's report either.
His obit is on the memorial and the 1865 Fort Scott census shows him serving. He's listed in the household of Andrew and Jane Jones. I checked Jones too but didn't find him.

Thanks so much for fulfilling my request for a photo of the gravestone of Daniel Tinney. It was most helpful to me to see that this man is indeed the Civil War veteran I has suspected. Your timely help is very much appreciated! SuzanneA

I see that you've submitted a photo for Elizabeth Bay's grave in Pleasant Hill Cemetery:
I was wondering if you had transcribed the stone at the time? Unfortunately I'm unable to read the inscription on the photo, and am pretty sure this is the final resting place of one of my ancestors that I've been looking for for a while. Many thanks in advance for your help.

I apologize if I am being a pain. I looked to see again who has the memorial for William Cameron. Your name was on it. I wrote the number down this time. I would appreciate it if you would check your files again for me. If you could transfer my GG-Uncle to me, I would be more than greatful. I am sorry if I have caused you any upset.

Thank-you so much for the transfer. I appreciate all you works with Find a Grave. You are very kind and I will be here for you if you should need anything from this end of town.

Thank-You very much,
