Bio

I've been researching my family for many years and have found Findagrave to be invaluable.

Many of my memorials have been entered from transcripts and I have not seen the actual headstone. If you post a headstone photo to a memorial, and there is a difference in info, please send an edit and let me know.

Please, do not post a death certificate to a memorial that I manage. I know they are allowed, but I don't care for them, and Findagrave does remove them when requested. It will save everyone work, if they're not posted to begin with. If there is information on the d/c that I have not listed, send an edit and I'll add it. The death certificate does not add anything to the memorial that can't be put in the bio.

Do not add bio information with a virtual flower, this is Findagrave policy. If there is information you want added to the bio, send an edit. Any virtual flowers with bio information will be deleted, WITHOUT adding the bio info to the memorial.

Transfer requests outside the 4 generation guideline, are considered, but not guaranteed. When submitting a request for a transfer outside of guidelines, please include the following:
Your relationship to the person, such as cousin or close friend.
Reason for the transfer - should be along the lines of how the person is important to you.
Your Findagrave member number or link to your profile page.
And a way to contact you, either email or ability to leave message on your profile page. Without contact information, request is immediately declined.

If you send a suggestion to change information in the bio section of a memorial, please include sources why your information is correct. Most of my bio information is from the death certificate, or obituaries. It is not feasible to expect me to research and confirm information you are submitting.
