Velma Ola Poindexter (Bowen) (Warren)
Thank you! I'm Velma's granddaughter Drenda Hillyard. I'm taking care of my mother (velma's daughter) Rozell. She has Alzheimer's and we are going to be visiting the cemetery soon. I haven't been back since my nanny was buried. My mom couldn't remember if she had ever got the tombstone finished. I can see that the dates need to be added. I will see to it this is completed. Thank you again for all you do.

Thad, Renora & Jacob Mansel
I was at the Marquez Cemetery today and took pictures of Thad, Renora and Jacob Hale Mansel's headstones. The memorial for Renora is in the Mexia City Cemetery. I noticed her death certificate stated that burial would be in Mexia but I believe that was a mistake of the informant. If you agree would you move her memorial to Marquez Cemetery?
Thanks for all you do!

Laura E Steed
Carol, I noticed the information on Laura E Steed, (1871-1903) 1st wife of Robert William Steed (1875-1918). This is correct. What is NOT correct is her nickname "Washie". Washie is William's 2nd wife. Washie Day Steed Linderman (1887-1968. She is buried in Enon Cemetery in Hagerville, Houston Co, TX.

Washie is my grandmother. William Robert my grandfather. Judy Steed Davis

Jeff Bowen
RE: Samuel Harrison Bowen

I only have two sons attributed to Samuel Harrison Bowen and
Nancy Freeman. They are James L. Bowen and Thomas A. Bowen born in 1835 and 1837. Most of the people that have
attended the reunion are descended from one of Stephen S.
Bowen's children including the Texas branch. I would love to have more information on the descendants of Samuel Harrison
I have traced one line through Samuel Harrison Jr. to Randolph county AL and then some on to Morgan and Cullman counties which is near where I live coincidentally.
Feel free to contact me by email at your convenience I would love to hear from you

RE: Gerald Clarence Jones
Hi Carol Anne. The photo of Gerald Clarence Jones's headstone was taken at Taylor Cemetery at Gallatin in Cherokee County. Peggy Goodwin has left a flower note today on his memorial that might clear up some of the confusion caused by Find A Grave's merging of his two memorials. I hope this helps. Jim

Regarding Johnnie Anderson
Hi, Sorry for the late reponse. Have not been researching for a while. The memorial for Johnnie Anderson is 166299584. I had just learned of this great uncle of my husband's mid last year. So we are looking for any information on him other than what I was able to glean with some help from the Galveston Library. We knew nothing about him prior to. We are actually trying to find out where Johnnie's mother, Ethel Gray, ended up. She may have had the last name of Stiriz when she died, but we have had no luck in locating her. Thank you!
