First, let me say thank you to all of those who share my desire to connect with the past. With out you it would be next to impossible.
I have been researching my family since 1999. I use the word research but its more of a gathering of information that others have posted on the web, hence my heart felt thanks above. I started out on this journey due to religious beliefs that I once held. Even though I am no longer religious, I still have the strong desire to connect and be aware of the ones who have come before me, awareness of my direct relatives and also the human race itself. I have become a lover of history. :)
A Side Note: I have all of my family members that I have found on Find A Grave listed under their surnames in the Virtual Cemetery section of my profile. There are two categories: Consanguineous (C) and Non Consanguineous (Non) Links. Non Consanguineous links are family members who are connected to me through a marriage, and consanguineous are blood relatives of mine (A) or my husband (B).
