Gaines Alta HULLEY
There are two GAINES ALTA buried in Shiloh Cemetery, Rush County, Indiana, NO DATE OF DEATH NO HEADSTONE,
I know he was married to VIOLET BITNER(STevens/Addison)/in 1898,Marriage online and in 190 census in Rush County, Indiana She died 1911 and is buried I Little Blue River Cemetery, Rush County, Indiana as Violet Addison.

BUT GAINES ALTA is listed twice
1. HULLEY, Gaines Alta His name is GAINES ALTA, not HULLEY....
2. Alta Jaimes
Both are indicated to be buried in the same plot:
Seciton 11, lots 7/8

......Believe this is the third husband of Violet Bitner, but sometime between 1900 census, and OCTOBER 1903, divorced and remarried Mary Alice Hulley, Cannot find marriage date.

Joseph Dent Watson, Jr. and Sr.
Sorry, but I just now saw this old message from you. Better late than never! You wrote: "Joseph Dent Watson Jr. ... Anna, you created a memorial for Joseph in honor of his father. Do you know if Joseph Jr had any children? Kathy"
Added by Hulleygenealogy on Aug 03, 2011 1:21 PM

I never met Joseph Watson, Jr. or knew anything about him except his father missed him terribly. I believe they were estranged from the time of junior's childhood. I don't know the circumstances but know Joseph Sr. and his wife, Mary, were divorced.Mary and Joseph Jr. lived in California I believe. Joseph Sr. lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which is where I knew him. He was like a grandfather to me but we were not kin. My parents were close friends of Joseph Sr.

RE: Robert and James Wiley
Good to here from you! I've pretty much found the same info as you. Still can't find concrete sources. I've been leaning towards Sampson as Roberts father but can't connect. I haven't been looking at him lately. When I get real tired of hitting that brick wall I take a break and work on somebody else till I get tired of that brick wall. Ha! These people drive me crazy but I want to know them. Thanks for getting back with me Cousin!

Wiley from PA
Hi Kathy'
I found you while researching my Wiley line. I see you have Wiley ancesters in Westmoreland County, PA. My 2nd great grandfather was Robert Wiley 1809-1887 from Derry, Westmoreland Co.(I think). He married 1st Margaret Foreshow, 2nd Mariah Walters. He moved to Swanton, Fulton Co., OH between 1850 and 1860. I've been searching for his father and mother and have found no clues. Do you think he is part of your family? I hope so. I will be glad to hear from you. We may be cousins.

Their burial is recorded as Lot 33, however there is no tombstone with their name on Lot 33 or anywhere in Riverside, so I am submitting this photo showing where Lot 33 is with open space. Perhaps their tombstone was deteriated and removed? Several Patton family are also in lot 33 with stones shown.

Yes, you can always send me additional information or corrections, but if you would rather have memorials of family transferred to you, I will be happy to do that.

RE: Are we cousins?
I'm sorry, I am not related to the Emdees. I just photographed most of Hopewell Cemetery and set up memorials for people who didn't already have one. I have several relatives at Hopewell and while I was recording them, I decided to help others find their relatives. I did the researach on the Emdees on with census records, marriage and death records, etc. I just enjoying doing it, and I don't like to see memorials with no information on them.

Thanks, Kathy. Interesting genealogy!

As usual I was wrong. They didn't bury in the new part of the cemetery until the 1930's.
