RE: David Rawson

I just saw your reply to my message. Do you live in the UK or America? I am trying to get enough people interested in order to start a Rawson family association. We have a Facebook group

If you don't care to share your lineage back to David I'd appreciate it. I can also invite you to view my tree if interested.

Thanks for sponsoring the Findagrave memorial of my 11th great grandfather David Rawson. Are you a descendant as well?

I finished adding the other pictures I had taken. Not real happy with them because they are from the "dark side" of the monument. I may try reshooting them on a flat light day to get better results. Happy to help you fill in the pieces of your family tree!

Hi Lewis,
You're very welcome. I still have a couple of pictures to upload the other members of the family. It is Pine Grove Cemetery where they are located.

RE: India H. {Arnold} Howe
That is awesome, Lewis. Now she is honored and remembered properly. I hope you understand I was just trying to give your relative the respect she deserves by seeing she had one proper memorial. (with no duplicates hanging around out there) Denise.

I am interested in ALL memorials and the correct use of the website. Since this is a grave registration site there is only to be one memorial per person. The way to contact any member is by clicking on the 'edit' tab on the upper right of the memorial. You can then send edits/updates/bios etc. that way. If they do not do the edits they will be done automatically within 21 days.

RE: William K. & Emily {Toomey} Freeman
You are welcome. Years ago I visited the cemetery office and made copies of cards that might have been family. So, Willam's & Emily's were in my file, which I happened across recently. (No, I don't think they ended up as relatives to me.)

RE: Lydia Fay Arnold
I included a link to the original created in 2009 in the SAC. All edits/updates should be sent to that one.

RE: Isabel {Woodhall} Wilson
I am sorry if I sounded scolding. I have wasted so much time searching Find A Grave, not only because of its inadequate searching and indexing capabilities, but because many use Find A Grave incorrectly.

As for people not linking to relatives, much of that is because linking is new to Find A Grave. When many of the memorials were created, it was not offered.

The rest is likely due to the already mentioned problems with indexing and searching Find A Grave.

Whenever I find two people who need to be linked, I send suggestions also. However, many contributors refuse to link to persons without cemeteries, which is as it should be since those persons are not supposed to be in Find A Grave.

RE: Isabel {Woodhall} Wilson
Even though owned by, FindAGrave is not a genealogical website. Persons without known cemeteries are not, per the rules) to be added.

Since the cemetery for Elizabeth is unknown, she must not be entered in Find A Grave.

Find A Grave is difficult enough to search. Adding a person who does not have a known burial place clutters up the site and makes it even harder.

It is better to add family connections in the bio, as I have now done.

Genealogy websites are the place to enter genealogical links.

I'll add what you want, Lewis. Are you emailing me those dates and info? Thanks for looking into this.

Hi Lewis,

I haven't checked my messages for some time. As I pull up the image associated with this memorial it appears oriented correctly. I must be missing something.

Larrabee info
I added the info for Emery Horton Larrabee. No, I never received any other email with this info on it through Findagrave. And Lewis, I believe that Findagrave has made it that anyone can enter additional info by using the "edit" button at the top right. They might take a day or 2 to process, but you don't have to go through the manager of the page, I think. Try it next time and see.

I entered the birth/death locations for Emery. But I don't see what his middle name is.

Hi Lewis

Since this family is also part of my family tree, I am going to retain management.

Thanks for being in touch. You made some great contributions to the memorial. Nice work!

RE: Otis Larrabee and Wives at Achorn, Rockland, ME
Glad to do so, the memorials were transferred to you this morning. The only connection I had is an indirect one to Mary Fisher Cushman Larrabee. Her son married into the Gill Family, and my great-great grandfather's second wife was Mary Gill.

Made the updates. Please feel free to request transfers. Anyone in MA in my database are not relations to me. I would much rather see memorials managed by those with connections to the individual.
